THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Hammocks Trading Company Restaurant Review:

Chef William Sigley, who hails from the West Coast, and Atlanta (Sandy Springs) native Jason Sheetz are behind this casual, family-friendly restaurant with a seafood theme. Beachy accoutrements --- hammocks, for instance --- bedeck the walls and ceilings of the seaside shack-style structure that might have been a house in days long past. Start with the pickled shrimp perched atop a single slice of fried green tomato, surmounted by a tangle of lightly dressed greens. Caesar salad, a mishandled affair in many places, presents crisp greens and just enough of the correct dressing. Although tempted by the bouillabaisse, we bit for the lemon grilled shrimp and a six-ounce portion of Norwegian salmon, served medium rare as ordered (ask for the Cajun-style rémoulade to go with it). Vegetable sides are delectable, and we appreciated a mac 'n' cheese that wasn't over-embellished. The short wine list is well chosen and the Jean-Luc Colombo rosé is an apt choice for many of the dishes. Lots of local and national craft brews provide ample suds.
