Hanalei Dolphin Restaurant Review: Built on the site of a historic boat shed and located in a scenic spot with lush tropical foliage at a bend in the Hanalei River, the Hanalei Dolphin is an old favorite among locals and visitors alike. It's not fancy, but it's a reliable place on the North Shore to get fresh, local fish, albeit at high prices. The addition of a sushi and saké lounge has perked things up a bit. The ceviche (also available as take-out at the Dolphin fish market, along with sushi rolls) is dynamite. The rest of the offerings are a predictable mix of steak, shrimp and chicken. Lunch is fish, burgers, tacos and salads.
