 The Happy Rooster Restaurant Review: Once a boys club of a pub, The Happy Rooster has morphed into a neighborhood spot for all, with chef Terry Cherry in the kitchen cooking seasonal cuisine and a first-rate burger. Think updated comfort food, from striped bass with Prince Edward Island mussels, curried lentils and roasted turnips to braised lamb shank in a truffled white bean ragoût. Daily chalkboard specials are market-driven. The place still has that private club feel, with a lighter, egalitarian edge. |
