| Hard Rock Café is the granddaddy of all themed restaurants, on the waterfront at Universal CityWalk. The restaurant is the largest in the Hard Rock chain and is combined with a concert venue called Hard Rock LIVE. This isn't the place to go for dinner conversation---it is a tribute to rock music, after all. Try the S.O.B. burger with spicy chipotles and jack cheese. Other standouts include the blackened fish of the day sandwich, grilled lemon-caper chicken or the Greek salad with grilled shrimp. When visiting the Universal complex, be prepared for a long walk. There is a network of moving sidewalks that will bring you halfway to the restaurant. As for the other half? Bring your hiking boots, because you're on your own. |
