THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Harmoni Restaurant Review:
As genteel College Park morphs into a modern enclave, Harmoni market is on the leading edge, an “artisan meal market” that combines a casual bistro with to-go shopping. On the ground floor of a condo high-rise, the place carries everything from imported meats and cheeses (but they make their own fresh mozzarella) to artisan breads and packaged meals with a menu that changes weekly. The owners are encouraging Central Florida’s budding Slow Food movement, serving local products when possible. Your tomato-mozzarella salad, for instance, might have basil that was hand-picked at a local farm, the classic sourdough is from Orlando’s Olde Hearth, and small-batch roasted coffee made in town. Lunchtime creations include a comforting bowl of linguine with rock shrimp from Cape Canaveral; thick sandwiches such as a Spanish club with Serrano ham, chorizo and manchego cheese; and skinny flatbreads. Dinner adds steaks, grilled salmon and a Tuscan pork cutlet to the menu. All wines are priced by the glass and bottle, and they serve a good selection of microbrews.
