| One expects this homage to Hawaiian cuisine to be one of those places with surfboards hanging from the ceiling and a tiki bar serving umbrella-topped drinks. But Harry’s is a stylish contemporary dining room, where a generous use of rich wood and stone creates a sense of sophistication that's echoed on the eclectic menu. If you feel like a taste of Thailand, delve into traditional chicken satay, nicely presented, or hit the North Shore with wonton “nachos” drizzled with chili sauce. Hawaii takes center stage in entrées like marinated paniolo skirt steak and macadamia-crusted halibut, with a vanilla bean sauce that is a bit cloying. Steaks are offered with treatments ranging from a Cajun rub to a classic wine reduction, and mahi mahi is accompanied by tropical fruit salsa or a snappy lime-chile sauce.
