The Hartwood Restaurant is delightful in summer, cozy in winter and seductively romantic all year round. The kitchen specializes in seafood and updated American comfort food---pork scallopini, crab-stuffed salmon with lobster cream sauce. But salads are first-rate. The fish is fresh. And there’s always a vegetarian dish, a gluten-free option and a filet or steak on the short menu. Actually, The Hartwood encompasses several entities: the dining room; the tavern addition, Whispers, serving dinner Tuesday through Saturday; and The Hartwood Restaurant itself, occupying the library setting, the garden room and the outdoor patio. |
