| Hau Tree Lanai is an undiscovered treasure. Dine outdoors on the spacious oceanfront lanai under a banyan tree that once sheltered Robert Louis Stevenson. Chef Rene Caba has freshened-up the menu with an emphasis on island seafood favorites that include salmon-ahi tartare, a Tai snapper napoleon and seared garlic ahi. Also on the menu are traditional continental favorites like veal scaloppine and scampi ala sans souci. The tabbouleh salad with grilled seasonal vegetables remains an all-time favorite. The restaurant exudes romance at sunset when the lights of the nearby Waikiki hotels reflect off the ocean and the stars glitter in the nighttime sky, all within earshot of the sound of crashing waves. |
