Havana Alma de Cuba Restaurant Review

: Set in a long, narrow space full of colorful murals and live (and fortunately not-so-loud) music, Havana Alma de Cuba keeps its customers happy and lively with an endless procession of mojitos. The menu doesn’t try to reinvent the wheel --- and that’s a good thing. Classics like arroz con pollo criollo and vaca frita have their place, but the best bet is anything from the sea. Shrimp sautéed in garlic sauce and grilled salmon in lentil coconut sauce are satisfying for their freshness and balance of flavors; the plantain-encrusted filet of red snapper is flaky and tender, and it's given a subtle punch with a splash of garlicky sofrito sauce.
