Haveli Restaurant Review

: What sets Haveli apart from the generic Indian restaurants that line Sixth Street around the corner is its elegant look (with mottled glass and comfortable furnishings), consistent quality, fresh ingredients and balanced spicing. All of the vegetarian dishes, especially the alu mottor gobi (potatoes, peas and cauliflower cooked together in masala), are highly recommended, as are lamb and chicken offerings like the malai kebab with cubed chicken marinated in cream cheese and mild spices. Also try the chef’s specialty of tandoori jhinga masala (jumbo shrimp marinated in freshly ground spices with creamy yogurt and almonds). Although at first glance the menu seems to offer ordinary fare, the food is anything but, most likely making Haveli well worth the extra few dollars you'll spend.
