THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Hecho en Dumbo Restaurant Review:

Hecho en Dumbo, which means “Made in Dumbo,” is actually not in Dumbo, the topographic acronym for the Brooklyn neighborhood underneath the Manhattan Bridge. But it did start out there before relocating to its current East Village location in the former Marion’s Continental space. The décor is Spartan and quasi-industrial with bare wood walls and a wood ceiling. Sturdy tables and mismatched chairs break up the minimalist chic. The menu is all Mexican. Tacos come three to an order, of which the juicy pork-laced version is the best. Ultra tender shredded lamb intertwined with tangy mole verde and pumpkin seeds always hits the spot. So do the big bowls of pozole, a spicy hominy and pork-studded soup that is a common hangover cure in Mexico. There are umpteen house tequila cocktails and some local brews on tap to help wash it all down.
