Henry's 12th Street Tavern Restaurant Review: Henry's 12th Street Tavern was sustainably built in the shell of the original Blitz-Weinhard Brewery. More than 100 brews are on tap, and microbrew fans revel in setting their mugs on a refrigerated strip running along the edge of the bar. This enormous, multi-level restaurant attracts a mostly young crowd, particularly for the happy hour. They enjoy the billiard room, plasma TV and Wii lounge, as well as the lengthy menu of tavern-style food --- oversize onion rings, sausage tasting plates and burgers galore. If you’re looking for something a little different, Henry’s also offers good seafood specials, pan-Asian fare, sushi and pizza. And don't miss the Gorgonzola fries. If you're in the mood for something sweet, try the homemade ice cream sandwiches. Sunday brunch features a popular make-your-own Bloody Mary bar. Henry's staff greets everyone with a friendly and accommodating style. |
