Though the Black Forest cake earned Herb's its reputation, it's certainly not the only thing here worth trying. With an authentic European master baking in the kitchen, Herb’s offers topnotch German apple strudel, plump loaves of fresh-baked Bavarian bread and crusty sourdough rye---all created by the credentialed Bavarian baker who owns the place. Then there are the great cookies and hand-decorated cakes that are practically works of art. But don't get us started. About half a dozen tables let you sit to enjoy these treats, as well as the high-quality deli goods and lunch plate specials, on the premises.
