Heritage of Sherborn Restaurant Review:

A suburban retreat for devotees of its sister restaurant La Morra, Heritage of Sherborn features farm-inspired New American cuisine crafted with local ingredients. Come for brunch, lunch or dinner and choose to eat in the comfortable gastropub, at a fireside table, in the more formal dining room or on the outside patio in nicer weather. Start with the Bacon Board of salmon belly, lamb breast, house-smoked pork belly, egg salad and toast or the kale and chicken nachos with Apple Knocker cheddar, chive sour cream and smoked salsa. The burger, which comes in a quinoa-mushroom version, is topped with arugula, crispy onions and tomato jam. Choose from a roasted mushroom pizza with Parmesan cream, Fontina and sage, and grilled yellowfin tuna with fennel, pistachios, blood oranges and Sicilian olives. Brunch options range from salt cod cakes with prosciutto and hollandaise to bread pudding french toast with house-smoked bacon. Expect an extensive wine menu and look for wine dinner nights. You can stay the night at owners Josh and Jen Ziskin’s four-room boutique inn, the former 18th-century-era Sherborn Inn, too, and shop at Heritage Fine Wine, Coffee & Provisions highlighting local beers and cider, including Sherborn’s own Stormalong.
