High Road Craft Ice Cream & Sorbet Restaurant Review: Inventive ice cream and sorbet flavors that taste good, although seem a bit quirky, such as roasted beet and basil, are chef Keith Schroeder's hallmark. You must try his Caffeine and Cacao; the toasted coconut brings out the best of this distinctive flavor, and we'll never abandon the fleur de sel vanilla. There’s also dark rum and raisin; bourbon-burnt sugar, rivaling crème brûlée; fire-roasted pecan among the “heritage collection”; and a sorbet that contains Southern-style sweet tea. Ingredients are organic whenever possible. While this location is open for tastes and retail sales on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with tours at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., you can access the best at its Sweet Auburn Curb Market location (209 Edgewood Ave. SE, 678-701-7623, downtown Atlanta) open Monday through Saturday. The ice cream also is available in Griffin, an Atlanta suburb, at Laynie-Bug's Sweets & Treats, 1119 Zebulon Rd., 770-630-9661.
