High Thyme Restaurant Review

: True to its surroundings, High Thyme brings the beach vibe inside and puts good fresh food on the table. The restaurant’s casual atmosphere makes it equally suitable to a quiet vacation evening or a more elaborate dinner. Asian influences with a bit of a French accent combine with local seafood and vegetables to create an accessible but interesting menu. We suggest the pan-seared tilapia over smoked Gouda grits with arugula and lemon caper brown butter, with rich cream in the mix and the right temperature on the seared fish. Mid-week at High Thyme is especially popular. When Tapas Tuesdays roll around, it’s a chance to sample many of the flavors, have a few glasses of wine and get to know the island locals.

Wow what a great meal for Wednesday night

I just had my first meal at High Thymes tonight, our server was very well informed with his food knowledge, as well as wine suggestions for my wife and other guest. The meal we all had were specials ranging from 3 tail filet fish over grits, and grilled vegatables. The other special that one of our guest had was a meatloaf that wasn't just a meatloaf, but the tomatoe sauce was almost carmelized over a bed of mashed potatoes with grated parmesian cheese. The dessert was a flourless chocolate cake heated with chocolate and raspberries over that with a dallop of ice cream which was outstanding.
