Himalaya Kabob Korner Restaurant Review: While the mall parking lot location and plastic tableware are unimpressive, this eatery’s food is expertly seasoned and prepared. Hearty Nepali soup with nine different beans or soul-satisfying Afghan aush soup with vegetables, pasta and meat are meals in themselves as well as fine starters. Chicken, lamb and beef kebabs with basmati rice, pita bread and yogurt sauce are popular, but regulars know to get the momo, steamed dumplings stuffed with chicken or vegetables and topped with a tomato sauce, or delicate manti, ground turkey dumplings finished with yogurt sauce. Himalayan thali comes with tomato chutney; we also recommend the vegetarian special of basmati rice, spinach, eggplant and lentils. Finish with a large serving of baklava or a mango lassi.
