Hog Heaven Bar-B-Q Restaurant Review: If you want to understand what North Carolinians crave when far from Eastern Carolina-style barbecue---this is where you come for that epiphany. Step up to the ordering window and plunk down your money for a little piece 'o heaven in the form of hand-chopped, slow-smoked barbecue with just the right kiss of vinegar tang and pepper, offered on the side. Your only regret is that you won't have room for more. In classic Carolina fashion, have some hush puppies (deep-fried cornmeal bites) with it. Ribs (falling-off-the-bone style) are the meal deal on Tuesdays. But Carolina 'cue is about chopped whole hog, not ribs. Banana pudding is the dessert of choice, and sweet tea the quaff to target.
