Homegrown Tap & Dough Restaurant Review:

Amid décor celebrating everything from sports (witness the TVs showcasing all the games) to skiing (check out the old gondola that doubles as seating), Homegrown Tap & Dough dispenses seasonal salads, first-rate wood-fired pizzas and house-made pastas to appreciative neighborhood crowds. Combining creativity with quality, the pizzas, topped with everything from pancetta and pepperoni to giardiniera to arugula, emerge blistered and bubbly. Lasagna, sheeted with layers of spinach pasta and a hearty meat ragù, is rivaled only by the fusilli with sausage and roasted mushrooms cloaked in a lightly truffled Alfredo sauce. The spot is owned by the same restaurant group that presides over Park Burger and Park & Co., so there's a burger on the menu, too, that's nothing short of terrific. The beer list --- mostly craft drafts --- is exemplary, as is the vanilla panna cotta with macerated berries. The patio is always hopping with revelers, and there are plenty of games for kids, including an indoor arcade with vintage amusements. A second outpost is located at 5601 Olde Wadsworth Blvd., Arvada, 303-284-6087.
