Hong Kong Lounge Restaurant Review:

Dim sum lovers take note: get here when the restaurant opens for lunch, 10:30 a.m. during the week and 9:30 a.m. on weekends, to avoid or minimize the wait. Or, take a ticket and stay close as hosts tend to call numbers only twice. Pick up a menu to fill out as it is extensive and will use up some of the wait time; once seated, further peruse the long menu with the pot of jasmine tea that offers fragrant refreshment on every table ($1 per person, whether requested or not). While the range of selections includes pig's intestines, feet and ears, the classic execution of baked barbecue pork buns comes out on top for most diners. We recommend the standout greasy, crispy Peking duck, served aside ramen. Shrimp and chive dumplings are also quite good and, with eight per order, are easily shared. With the quality and variety of dim sum available, it's unlikely there will be room for dessert, but if so cakes, tarts and puff pastries are varied. Don't expect much from the décor, or the upkeep, just enjoy the food.
