| Brought to you by the people who started the now-defunct mini-chain Burritoville, this East Village restaurant is an homage to an Acapulco hotel of decades past. The interior is kitsched out with teal and orange walls and art meant to evoke a beachy Eisenhower Administration-era. The menu isn’t anything groundbreaking; neither is it meant to be. Tacos and burritos are offered with a choice of beer-lime-chili-marinated chicken, tilapia, pineapple-kissed beef and plenty of vegetable options. The mountain of nachos is best with the shredded chicken pozole and the quesadilla matches up nicely with the soy mole. The “hotel” also serves breakfast all day, so if you’re dying for huevos rancheros at night, this is the place to go. |
