House of Blues Restaurant Review:

Modeled after an old-time Mississippi juke joint with lots of distressed wood and rusted metal both inside and outside, House of Blues also displays folk art all over the walls, part of founder Isaac Tigrett’s massive collection. The Disney Springs location has live music seven days a week in the concert hall, everything from blues to gospel and jazz. Sundays the place really rocks with a Gospel Brunch that features regional and national artists. The food is secondary to the music, offered in a so-so Southern buffet. The adjacent restaurant is hit or miss; we can recommend the giant sandwiches, like the smoked pulled pork sandwich or the chicken club, but we haven't had as much luck with more ambitious entrées. We enjoy munching on side dishes like rosemary cornbread with maple butter and sweet potato fries. Those with a sweet tooth usually go for the white chocolate banana bread pudding with Jack Daniels whiskey sauce or the Florida Key lime pie with a drizzle of raspberry.
