Crossroads at House of Blues Restaurant Review: After a few years of multiple menu concepts and frequent changes, chef Aaron Sanchez has settled on an all-American line-up featuring burgers, mac ‘n’ cheese, club sandwiches, jambalaya, ribs, steaks and some typical bar-food appetizers (quesadillas, sliders, flatbreads, soups). The food is good, but not terribly imaginative, and neither is the wine list. Still, this spot accommodates those seeking comfort fare before a HOB performance. On a balmy day or night, the place to sample all this is the big, bustling courtyard of the Voodoo Lounge, flanked with booths and fronted with a bar that never seems to stop rocking. If Crossroads has one taste worth returning for, it’s definitely the molten chocolate cake. |
