THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED House of Lords Restaurant Review:

The 120-seat room features a wood-framed glassed-in wine rack spanning a wall inside its entrance, 20 luxurious high-backed booths circling a central fountain, and intimate dining areas for small parties. The menu features steak and seafood classics from the old days, plus more modern fare. It starts with traditional seafood cocktails, plus roasted crab cakes with saffron and chive aïoli and a portobello mushroom stuffed with crab meat then topped with béarnaise sauce and crispy onions. Pastas include penne with goat cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, basil, eggplant and red peppers in a roasted garlic cream sauce and chicken with orecchiette; a vegetarian crêpe features marinated, grilled seasonal vegetables accompanied by grilled grapefruit. Steak is king at the House of Lords---go for the bone-in rib-eye or the house specialty triple peppercorn New York strip. The prime rib is aged 21 days; choose from either ten or 16 ounces of well-seasoned meat. For dessert, treat yourself to the fire and ice combo of blood orange mousse and French vanilla ice cream infused with green Madagascar pepper.
