Openings
Federal American Grill will open in the space in The Heights in March. New owner Matt Brice, owner of Bistro des Amis in Rice Village, says the new restaurant will maintain several of former owner/chef David Grossman’s popular dishes including the bone marrow and the smoked pork chop, but he'll also add new items such as a Prime filet mignon, jumbo lump crab cake and a truffle mac ‘n’ cheese. Most of the changes will be at lunch. The Federal Grill’s lunch menu will allow diners with limited time the ability to get in and out within 30 minutes. Daily $10 lunch specials, such as fried chicken Thursdays will continue, with more menu items between the $12 to $15 price point being offered. The restaurant will be open seven days a week starting in March and there will be more tables in the bar area with a special bar menu.
