| Situated in the Malibu Country Mart, this former La Salsa features a well-stocked salsa bar and a menu of Mexican-American comfort food favorites. There are huge burritos filled with grilled tilapia, salmon or shrimp, or heartier ingredients like grilled steak and carnitas. “Soft tacos” would just be tacos in Mexico or East L.A. Whatever the name, they’re pretty good. There are also some Tex-Mex items like fajitas and “crispy tacos.” Among the “Favorites,” expect gut-busters like “super nachos” and the “famous” Mexican pizza, a baked flour tortilla smothered with beans, cheese, diced tomatoes, cilantro and red onions. |
