Hula Hanks Island Grille & Bar Restaurant Review: All that's missing from this Hawaiian-themed restaurant are the hula girls and leis. It's a veritable tropical paradise here, right down to the palm fronds hanging over the bar and the sun and surf scenes decorating the dining room walls. In keeping with the theme, the dishes on the American menu have cute, catchy names like the surf's-up nachos and the surfin' sliders, served with a side of crispy onion rings. The beach theme names notwithstanding, the menu is still typical bar fare which works well for a Hawaiian themed college hangout like Hula Hanks. Hank, you could say, is a party animal and his restaurant is about tasty grub and oversize cocktails that get the energy surging like a good wave. |
