| Many Seattleites make a beeline to this small eatery for authentic Vietnamese food, and willingly put up with the nondescript décor, long waits and sketchy service. It's all about the bun bo Hue (spicy beef noodle soup). The menu lists numerous dishes from the city of Hue in the central region of Vietnam. Go with a group and feast on an array of shared plates, such as bahn hoi chao tom (grilled shrimp on sugar cane skewers), banh hoi (vermicelli rice noodles served with grilled skewered shrimp or pork surrounded by fresh lettuce, basil and cilantro), banh beo (a steamed rice cake topped with ground shrimp and scallions), and banh bot loc (tapioca cakes filled with pork and shrimp and sprinkled with ground shrimp). Note: The restaurant accepts cash only. |
