This old clapboard house in the shadow of Pasadena City Hall has been turning out barbecue since 1947. Lace curtains and Norman Rockwell-esque art gives the place a homey flavor. And while it would be misleading to suggest that Hutch's has perfected its craft over the last half-century, this is nonetheless a convenient place to grab a quick tri-tip sandwich for lunch. Jerk chicken is one of the better menu options, moist and intensely seasoned. Other choices include pulled pork, baby-back ribs, brisket and grilled hot links. Please note, Hutch's accepts cash only.
