Hyeholde Restaurant Restaurant Review: Hyeholde Restaurant, an idyllic Tudoresque castle set amidst lyrical grounds and woods, offers the epitome of romantic ambience. Materials like stone, slate and stained glass as well as a large collection of antiques adorn the fairy tale interior. In winter, claim the inglenook next to a roaring fire or a balcony seat overlooking the soaring Great Hall. In summer, enjoy patio dining. There’s a chef’s table in the state-of-the-art kitchen, and “Hyeteas” Monday through Friday from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. in an adjacent space. Hyeholde’s contemporary American cuisine concentrates on upscale staples --- quail, elk and ultra-fresh fin fish served on a salt block. The kitchen sources as much as possible locally, such as honey from hives on the grounds and produce from the Chef's Garden. The menu also sports frequently changing vegetarian feasts. The wine list, pared and restructured, includes more boutique selections and more choices in different price points.
