The Ice Cream Place Restaurant Review

: Owner Jerry Connell opened The Ice Cream Place as a spot where he could teach the ropes to his grandchildren. While he doesn't make the ice cream himself, he does get it from a small outfit in Florida called The Ice Cream Club that makes their ice cream in small batches. That allows them to add whole fruits and candy bar chunks that would otherwise get crushed in a larger production facility. The signature flavor is Mackinac fudge, consisting of butter pecan ice cream with fudge-covered pecans and butter pecan fudge swirl. Bear claw has dark chocolate ice cream with chocolate-covered cashews and caramel swirl, while Garbage Can has vanilla ice cream with peanuts and chopped candy bars such as Heath and Snickers. The space is bright and cheerful, while the staff is friendly and accommodating.
