Downtown Berkeley is home to the second location of the city’s beloved Ici ice cream shop, opened 11 years ago on College Avenue by Mary Canales, formerly the pastry chef of Chez Panisse. Expect the same seasonal array of elegant ice creams, chocolate-dipped cones, ice cream sandwiches and cakes. Milkshakes are a new item at this outpost. Prepare to wait in lines similarly long (longer?) to those on College.
