Ideya Restaurant Review:

A festive urban bodega atmosphere is the backdrop for chef Isaac Reyes’ homey Latin American fare. His “manchamanteles de pato” features pulled duck, cinnamon stewed fruit, corn and manchego cachapa. The house specialty is a noteworthy sliced skirt steak with Ideya chimichurri, papaya barbecue and boniato fries. But also don’t pass up the Panamanian plantain-coconut fish chowder or the jerk pork chop. For dessert, dig into the traditional Latin sponge cake made with three milks and a banana cream sauce. Weekly soup specials incorporate family recipes from Ideya’s Latin American staff. A salsa band performs Mondays.
