Il Davide Restaurant Review: A colorful Italian countryside mural adds cheer to this elegant restaurant. Chef-owner David Haydon is known for his unusual, handmade ravioli, truffled leek tart with sweet crust and other imaginative fare. Try the flavorful fried calamari with spicy garlic aïoli, fettuccine frutti di mare (seafood pasta) or pollo al mattone (chicken charbroiled under a hot brick). If osso buco is on the menu, try it. The tiramisu is better than average, as is the dark chocolate cake. Small flights of reasonably priced wines are available to sample with dinner; there’s also a full bar. |
