 Il Fornaio Restaurant Review: Everyone talks about the bread at this successful chain operation, which is understandable --- it's by far the best thing about the place. Many of the regular items are bland, with plenty of fresh herbs but little of the robustness that epitomizes great Italian food. Exceptions include selections from the changing menu of regional dishes, which tend to have more zest. It's a shame --- we'd like to like this place more because the breads are so good, the wine list fairly priced and the service so reliable. |
