THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Il Radicchio Restaurant Review:

The name Roberto Donna has become synonymous in this town with Italian restaurants that run the gamut from the ultra-chic Galileo to the modest and casual I Matti and Il Radicchio locations. The emphasis here is on hearty, peasant-style fare that features pizzas (with loads of funky toppings, including radicchio), pasta dishes with homemade sauces and spit-roasted chicken with roasted potatoes (a great take-home dish, for those on the run). Appetizers include bruschetta and antipasti. A winner is the roasted peppers in anchovy sauce; it’s loaded with garlic, so be advised. It’s tempting to hang out here sipping wine and forking into a wedge of ricotta cheesecake, but at mealtimes, expect crowds and a bustle. Also located at 1801 Clarendon Blvd., Arlington, VA, 703-276-2627.
