 Just down the street from the Sunset Plaza outdoor-café madness, Il Sole delivers authentic Northern Italian food in a serene, antique- and art-filled setting. A hip clientele drawn by the owners (a music manager, film producer and rock concert promoter) likes to savor the cuisine. A classical Italian menu is composed of soups (minestrone), antipasti (burrata on a bed of tomatoes), salads (baby mixed greens with goat cheese), risotto, pasta (homemade spinach-and-ricotta ravioli), fish (ahi) and meat (rack of veal). For the sweet note, the obligatory tiramisu is a good choice, along with the panna cotta. A meal at Il Sole (the sun) is definitely a little sunshine in our busy lives. |
