Il Terrazzo Carmine Restaurant Review: First-timers should not be fooled by Il Terrazzo Carmine’s unimpressive entrance --- it’s located on the first floor of a nondescript office building --- because fresh flowers, candlelit tables and friendly service await. Since 1984, this restaurant has been a Seattle favorite for Italian cuisine, with popular entrées like market risotto tossed with fresh shrimp, osso buco and crab ravioli. We also recommend the lightly sautéed veal with lemons and capers, roasted duck and beef tenderloin with pancetta-Barolo sauce. For dessert, the house-made tiramisu or tartuffe (ice cream) is a must. A choice wine list of Italian and Pacific Northwest varietals complements the meal. Live classical guitar adds to the romantic vibe, although the dining room can become noisy. In summer months, opt for seating on the outdoor patio.
