India Grill Restaurant Review: India Grill's location is charming: it's housed upstairs in a former vintage Portland home painted in bright colors and filled with funky décor. The extensive menu covers most Indian standards, including an inexpensive buffet at lunch. Best bets include samosas, pakoras, palak paneer (the paneer, Indian cheese, is homemade), aloo gobi (spiced cauliflower and potatoes), tandoori kebabs, lamb vindaloo, and a tasty array of naans and parathas. Vegetarians will find many options. Those who like their Indian food with extra heat must remember to tell the server to crank up the volume. Don't forget to order the robust imported Indian beer. |
