Indian Oven Restaurant Review: A lot of imagination is at work on the menu of this small restaurant, which gives a California twist to the average Indian repertoire. While hearty meats are the standard, the vegetable curries --- including an unusual mushroom version --- can be a treat. Also worth ordering is the pakora, battered and fried leaves of spinach and onion rings in a dish of spicy yogurt. The open kitchen provides a great show, and thanks to the upscale décor at this more-elegant-than-ordinary spot, it's a good choice for an evening out. |
