ink.sack Restaurant Review: “Top Chef” champ Michael Voltaggio’s tiny sandwich shop spinoff of ink. gives a casual taste of his cooking. Prices look good --- from $4 to $7 --- but keep in mind the sandwiches are so small you really need two for a satisfying lunch. The petite rolls are house-baked, but sadly quite unremarkable. The banh mi is a refined version of a Little Saigon favorite, and the “c.l.t” offers a combo of chicken liver mousse and curried chicken skin. Best is the house-cured beef short rib pastrami offset with tangy horseradish and pickles. |
