 After more than a decade in the business, chef-owner Heidi Krahling’s Insalata’s is at the top of its game. The dining room is sleek and bright, with apricot and chocolate-toned walls and comfortable banquettes. An array of Mediterranean small plates, including Krahling's signature fattoush salad, join lusty classics such as slow-braised beef cannelloni and one of the county’s best Middle Eastern vegetarian platters. Try the beef Catalan in a sherry-chocolate-almond sauce. Locals can also pick up take-out, including giant chocolate chip cookies, biscotti and Krahling’s book featuring top recipes from Insalata’s.
