Italianni's Restaurant Review:

Tourists looking for Olive Garden comfort, as well as lunchtime locals from nearby government offices, have no problem with Italianni’s, Admittedly, the ambience at this chain-Italian is entirely fake, and the menu “curation” about how real Italians eat is cloying at best, but cynicism aside, the fare is solid and tasty, not terribly expensive, and the service couldn’t be better. Start with the insalata campesina, an assemblage of fresh field greens with bacon bits and blue cheese, which is lightly dressed (not always a given with Mexico City salads) and a delicate balance of flavors. Fettuccine with grilled chicken is solid and flavorful, the pasta al dente, and with just the right amount of sauce. If it lacks kick, well, there’s always a bottle of Tabasco at hand. The fire-sale-priced pitcher of house red is more than potable as well. Enjoy it for what it is: easy, painless and convenient.
