| The design is vintage upscale beach shack, with toy ships and even a mini mechanical band among the antique tchotchkes. The service is only so-so. Co-owners Lynn von Kersting and Richard Irving haven't strayed far from the original Ivy's menu, offering high-priced but huge portions of American comfort food with a Southern kick: luscious crab cakes, Cajun pizza, crab salad and fried chicken that's sometimes overcooked. Order a side of crackling Maui onion rings and try to save room for dessert. Irving's chocolate-chip cookies or white-chocolate-lemon cake are the best in town. |
