IW Club Restaurant Review: The IW Club began as a late-breakfast and lunch place for golfers, then segued with grace into a fine-dining restaurant that could satisfy the needs of the well-heeled Indian Wells clientele. Views of the golf courses and mountains are striking. The menu skews heavily towards comfort food, but on a high level. There are some sophisticated spins to quality ingredients: the baby beet salad includes preserved apricots, the Sonoma foie gras is served with brioche and black currant syrup. Braised beef short rib made with Wagyu beef is rich, while chicken and turkey potpie has such a light and flaky crust it makes the nostalgic dish all too ephemeral. Warm salmon niçoise salad is a popular warm-weather favorite. The bar serves some tasty small plates and is open until 11 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. |
