| Contemporary Japanese BYOB Izumi is situated on Passyunk Avenue's ever-expanding restaurant row, a serene oasis of maki and udon. Chef Corey Baver oversees the kitchen, having honed his skills at Morimoto, Buddakan and Alma de Cuba. Heading the sushi line is Agus Lukito, a sushi chef who learned his craft from Japanese sushi masters and previously worked at Mikado. Opt for the freshest of sashimi, and if you're feeling adventurous, try the live uni. We also suggest the special maki rolls including the Paradiso roll filled with lobster tempura, avocado and cucumber and the Passyunk Avenue Roll brimming with shrimp tempura and spicy crab meat. |
