THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED J. Buck's Restaurant Review:
THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS CLOSED It's named for the late St. Louis sportscasting legend Jack Buck, as well as his offspring Julie, a local radio personality, and Joe, who has a fine national reputation of his own in his dad's field. The younger two are now part-owners in the Clayton and downtown locations, while the other five restaurants continue under the previous ownership. This West County Center location draws a crowd composed of local business folks and shoppers who want more than just a fast refueling. Thanks to the limited number of bar-goers here, the noise remains below the dull-roar level. The menu is mostly traditional American food, and the various chicken salads are word-of-mouth favorites among the mall workers. Desserts, always a strength of J. Buck’s, are luscious. Service is quite deft, and the portions, even by St. Louis standards, are gargantuan, but don’t look for deals on the wine list; you won’t find many.
