J. Christopher's Restaurant Review: Nearly 20 years ago, the team of Jay McCann and Chris Brogdon established this popular breakfast-all-day venue. Today, its numerous locations around the metro area, throughout the state and in Tennessee all serve the same menu with a few variations from unit to unit, but all offer breakfast throughout the day and add soups, burgers, sandwiches and salads for lunch. The chief draw is pancakes and eggs (if you want yours softly poached, that's how they come). Folks trimming their carbs and calories will find egg substitute products and egg white omelets happily prepared, and a sugar-free jelly may be requested. There’s decent coffee, even the decaf, and fair prices. Anticipate a wait on weekend mornings if you arrive late, and expect the place to be filled with kids and parents or grandparents, sometimes making quiet time impossible. No alcohol is served, and the place shutters at 2 p.m.
