 Chef-owner Jack Kreitzman travels often to research regional Italian recipes, and his love of Italy is apparent in this Pacific Heights favorite. Because of the trattoria's diminutive size and Kreitzman's local following, it's best to go early and be prepared to wait with a glass of wine. Try the starter of carpaccio di zucchini, sliced zucchini topped with curls of pecorino cheese, a swirl of olive oil and toasted pecans. Our favorite entrée is the chicken O.O.A., a zesty preparation involving olive oil, caramelized onions and anchovies. The daily specials are a sure bet. The wine list offers reasonably priced Californian and Italian wines. |
