 Jai by Wolfgang Puck Restaurant Review: Located next to La Jolla Playhouse's Mandell Weiss Forum, Jai by Wolfgang Puck takes a contemporary look at Asian traditions and flavors. The modern interior was envisioned by architect Martin Vahtra, who also created the design for Puck's Red Seven in West Hollywood's Pacific Design Center. Menu items include miso saké broiled butterfish, Maine lobster curry "Shanghai-style" and grilled Mongolian lamb chops with Hunan eggplant and cilantro mint vinaigrette. Soy-braised pork belly shares a pretty plate with wok-cooked edamame succotash and jícama pineapple salad. Important to note: Jai is open only during the theater’s season, so check the schedule. The restaurant is available for private groups and parties as well. |
